Evaluating Stormwater Management Plan Effectiveness

February 9, 2017 / 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Eastern

PowerPoint - Recording

Recent revisions to Phase I MS4 permits require an effectiveness evaluation of Stormwater Management Plans (SWMP) in reducing pollutant loadings, including identifying accomplishments in the implementation of pollutant reduction activities and the overall effectiveness of the SWMP.  Permit holders are required to describe whether stormwater pollutant loadings discharged from the MS4 have decreased and to identify any areas or drainage basins within the boundaries of the MS4 that should be targeted for corrective actions. The webinar reviewed ways in which permittees can evaluate existing monitoring plans and utilize data from the Pollutant Load Estimates report to describe whether pollutant loads from the MS4 have decreased and document the effectiveness of the SWMP.  This webinar was brought to FSA members free of charge thanks to our generous sponsor, Applied Sciences Consulting!
