The Florida Stormwater Association's Level 2 course is intended to familiarize stormwater management field supervisors with the tools necessary to effectively implement their organization's goals and objectives. It includes leadership skills and communication; basic engineering and functions of stormwater management systems; stormwater permitting and water quality improvement programs; the Community Rating System; budgeting; and, stormwater utility fees. FSA Stormwater Operator Certifications are valid for 5 years.

Schedule

Certification courses are offered in either online or in-person formats based on need.  All courses are two days from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

*Online participants will require individual computer access with internet and audio capabilities, no camera or microphone required.

Why Should You Attend?

Successful completion of Level 2 training results in:

  • Level 2 Stormwater Operator Certification from FSA
  • 12 CECs for Certified Floodplain Managers

  • Fulfillment of FDEP's training requirements of your MS4 permit for appropriate stormwater management personnel in Illicit Discharge Inspections; Spill Prevention and Response; Good Housekeeping; Construction Site Plan Review; and Construction Site Inspections.


What’s Included?

All course materials will be provided. There will be a one-hour break for lunch both days.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: No refunds, credits or transfers of course fees will be given for cancellations received less than 10 days before a course begins or if a registrant fails to attend a course.  Refunds of course fees (minus a $25 processing fee) will be given if cancellations are received in writing at least 10 days prior to the start of a course.  In the event that a registrant is not able to attend a course, registrant and their employers are encouraged to send substitute personnel.  There is no charge when substituting personnel from the same organization.
