Private Sector Dues (effective November 1, 2018)

PLAN NOW FOR NEXT YEAR'S DUES CHANGE!

FSA’s membership unanimously approved an amendment to the Association’s Bylaws in June 2017 that changes the dues structure for private sector members.  The amendment leaves the current minimum and maximum membership rates unchanged but revises the method by which the size of the company is determined.  The changes were adopted to make FSA's dues structure more equitable and to simplify the method for determining dues for private sector members.

In most cases the change in dues rates (if any) will be minor.  Nonetheless, the effective date of the amendment was delayed until November 1, 2018 (the beginning of the FSA 2018-19 fiscal year) to give you plenty of time to plan for a change in your budget.

Effective November 1, 2018 the Private Sector membership category will be split into three categories:  Consultant, Associate and Law Firm members, as described below.

  • Associate members include vendors and product manufacturers that distribute, manufacture, supply or market products, equipment or devices for the purpose of flood control or water quality improvement. Dues will  be a single, fixed rate of $600/year.
  • Law Firm members include representatives of firms engaged in the practice of law.  Dues will be a single, fixed rate of $600/year.

  • Consultant members include companies that provide consulting services such as management, financial, technical and scientific, including engineers and other registered professionals.  Dues are based on the total number of all employees who are working for the company in Florida.

$600/year = 1-25 total employees
$900/year = 26-100 total employees
$1,200/year = 101-250 total employees
$1,500/year = 251-500 total employees
$1,800/year = 501+ total employees
