Elizabeth Perez Collective Water Resources President
|
How long have you been a member of FSA (years)?
I've been involved in FSA since 2005.
Have you served FSA in the past?
Yes, on the Board and Executive Committee - 2017-2025.
What abilities and attributes can you bring to the Board?
As a potential member of the Education Foundation, I will bring my passion for both working with the next generation of leaders as well as succession planning for FSA. We need to look after the organization as well as nurturing the next round of experts via this important aspect of FSA.
What background and experience do you have in the stormwater industry?
I have been working as a stormwater/water resources engineer since 1999. I focus primarily on issues of analysis and GIS, with a heavy emphasis on scientific communication for a wide variety of audiences. I am the founder and President of Collective Water Resources, LLC, a small engineering firm focused on this industry. So, I also saddle a significant operational function related to the operation of the firm in addition to my engineering work.
Why do you want this Board position?
Working with younger people is my favorite part of my job. I think retiring as a stormwater professional without replacing yourself (hopefully many times over) is a mistake because the issues we work on are pressing and important.
