Position Description:  Repair and maintain the Town's stormwater conveyance system, including catch basins, swales, and other Stormwater-related components. Assist in debris removal from water bodies and drainage basins. Restore road surfaces by ensuring proper base compaction and asphalt application. Operate trucks and construction equipment for maintenance projects. Routine equipment inspections for safe operation. Determine materials required for job completion and coordinate delivery. Install street barricades and traffic control measures following MOT standards. Maintain accurate records and reports using computerized tracking systems. Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely. Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Respond to emergency call-ins, including hurricanes and other critical events.

Education/Experience Requested:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in Stormwater maintenance or Public Works.
  • Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement.
  • No loss of driving privileges due to revocation, suspension, or denial of license within the past 24 months.
