Position Description: Under professional direction, the purpose of the position is to perform specialized engineering work to plan, coordinate and implement County development activities. Employees in this classification perform at a professional level and are accountable for reviewing and evaluating development projects in compliance with all applicable County/State/Federal codes and regulations, and according to all acceptable engineering practices. Work includes reviewing and evaluating technical documents, construction plans (residential and commercial) development and roadway design. Employee works with a high degree of independence and initiative and may confer with the Principal Engineer and /or the Manager on matters involving complex development matters.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience in Civil Engineering design and construction focused on commercial and residential developments
Responsible experience in designing and managing development projects.
Current Engineering Intern Training (EIT) Certification is preferred and may substitute for required years of experience.

Salary Information: $56,160.00
