Position Description: Under professional direction, the purpose of the position is to perform specialized engineering work to plan, coordinate, and implement County development activities. Employees in this classification perform at a professional level, and are accountable for reviewing and evaluating development projects in compliance with all applicable County/State/Federal codes and regulations, and according to all acceptable engineering practices. Work includes reviewing and evaluating technical documents, construction plans (residential and commercial) development, and roadway design, attending and participating in the DRC and other related meetings while providing solutions to construction problems. Employee works with a high degree of independence and initiative and may confer with the Principal Engineer and /or the Manager on matters involving complex development matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering plus three (3) years experience in Civil Engineering design and construction focused on commercial and residential developments with responsible experience in designing and managing development projects.

• Current Engineering Intern Training (EIT) Certification is required.

Salary Information: $68,265.60
