The Florida Stormwater Association

Serving Professionals in Stormwater Management and Finance

FSA was organized in 1994 to assist professionals in the public and private sectors as they confront the problems associated with stormwater management and finance.  FSA provides three basic services to its members:

¨      Education -- The Association conducts two statewide conferences each year.  Other educational activities are conducted on an as-needed basis.

¨      Information Sharing – The FSA Survey of Stormwater Utilities is published every two years.  An abbreviated listing of current stormwater rates is updated frequently.  FSA's e-newsletter is published ten times a year.  Our website contains previously published editions of the newsletter, a membership directory, communications tools, copies of ordinances on stormwater utilities, links to other stormwater-related sites and our manual on Establishing Stormwater Utilities in Florida (also available in hard copy).

¨      Advocacy -- The Association is actively represented in Tallahassee.  We support legislation that is of benefit to stormwater utilities and local governments in the areas of stormwater management and finance.  The Association monitors the activities of the Legislature, DEP and EPA.  FSA actively monitors challenges to stormwater utilities in the courts and participates in cases that are of statewide importance.
