FASU WebSite Updated

http://www.fasu.org

The Association's site on the Internet has been further refined and updated. It is best accessed with Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer, although other browsers and services such as AOL and CompuServe also work. Information currently available at the site is described below.

Bulletin Board

FASU members can post messages or submit requests for information to the entire membership. Questions on any subject matter can be posted. By "attaching" electronic files, a response can range from from one to hundreds of pages and can be transmitted instantaneously.

Ordinances

Through a link to Municipal Code Corporation, many stormwater ordinances are available, including those concerning stormwater utilities, and those on stormwater permits and related development regulations. You can search other jurisdictions' codes so that "reinventing the wheel" will not be as necessary when undertaking a new project. Ordinances currently on the FASU site include those from:

  • Atlantic
  • Beach
  • North Miami
  • Boca Raton
  • Ocala
  • Brevard County
  • Oldsmar
  • Casselberry
  • Orange County
  • Clearwater
  • Port Orange
  • Coral Gables
  • Safety Harbor
  • Dade County
  • St. Augustine
  • Daytona Beach
  • St. Petersburg
  • Fort Lauderdale
  • Sarasota
  • Fort Myers
  • Tallahassee
  • Gainesville
  • Tamarac
  • Holly Hill
  • Tavares
  • Jacksonville Beach
  • Titusville
  • Miami
  • Winter Park
  • Naples

Tropical Weather Information

Continuously updated advisory reports (including satellite maps) from FEMA, NOAA, and other agencies keep you informed on major storm events impacting the Southeast US and the Caribbean.

Links

Links available through the FASU site make gaining access to other information fast and easy. Organizations whose WebSites are currently linked to FASU's include:

  • Department of Environmental Protection
  • US Environmental Protection Agency
  • Florida Legislature
  • US Congress
  • SWFWMD
  • Tallahassee Stormwater Management Division

As the site is further developed, other links will be added. We'd especially like to include other stormwater departments. Please let us know if your city or county has a site, or if you have ideas for other links to be added.

Utility Survey

The 1995 Survey of Stormwater Utilities in Florida is posted and can be downloaded. FASU's frequently updated listing of current Stormwater Utility Rates and ERU sizes is also available.

FASU Membership Directory

A Directory of all current members and the contact's name, address, and phone/FAX numbers are on the Site. After the January (annual) publication of the Membership Directory, membership updates will be noted only on the WebSite.

Newsletters

Articles from previous editions of the Stormwater FACTSHEET are posted by month and year of publication.
