The Environmental Protection Agency has recently assessed 2,000
watersheds nationwide for water quality. Watersheds in every
state except for Alaska and Hawaii were tested. Information on
Florida's 54 watersheds are included in the study. The study
used 15 indicators to test water quality. The results indicate
contamination problems in more than half of the tested sites.
