Annual Conference Keynote Speakers

In addition to the many well-qualified workshop panelists who will be presenting June 18, 19 and 20, several keynote speakers have confirmed their participation for the upcoming Conference.

Henry Dean, Executive Director of the St. Johns River WMD, is scheduled to speak at the Associations' luncheon on Friday, June 20th. He will discuss the state's stormwater management problem, potential partnerships between local governments and water management districts, and subjects for consideration during the 1998 Legislative Session.

Roosevelt Childress, Chief of the Water Permits Section at EPA in Atlanta, will provide an update on the NPDES permits program, including pending rules and future directions for the program.

Don Berryhill, Chief of the Bureau of Water Facilities Funding at DEP, will also speak on Friday. Mr. Berryhill is responsible for the operation of the state's Wastewater Treatment Revolving Loan Fund. He will supervise the inclusion of stormwater as a permitted use in the wastewater fund and the development of the new Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund.
