Austin Elected FASU Treasurer

Andrew Austin was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the Association during a meeting of its Board of Directors last month.

The Secretary-Treasurer's position had become vacant with the resignation of Pat Collins. Mr. Collins resigned his office in FASU after leaving the Sarasota County stormwater utility and establishing an environmental consulting firm.

Mr. Austin is the Stormwater Manager for the City of Hialeah and has been employed by the City for four years. He was previously employed by the Metro-Dade Department of Environmental Resources Management for over nine years. While at Dade , he founded the County's stormwater utility.

FASU's Bylaws provide that the Board of Directors elects an officer in the event of a vacancy that cannot be filled in a timely manner by vote of the general membership. The next elections for the FASU Officers and Board of Directors will be held in conjunction with the Annual Conference.
