FSA Stormwater Awards

Florida Stormwater Association Issues First Series of Awards for Protecting Water Quality

FSA issued six awards at the 2008 Annual Conference to local governments that have demonstrated creativity, innovation and excellence in local water quality and flood control programs and projects.

The 2008 Awards are the first of their kind presented by FSA, and are issued in recognition of those stormwater programs or projects that have demonstrated innovative accomplishments and have shown an outstanding commitment to best stormwater management practices that benefit the environment and local citizenry. Award recipients are selected through a highly competitive, peer-review process.

This year, three awards were presented in each of two categories:

  • Stormwater programs for stormwater departments or divisions that have demonstrated consistently superior service and innovation in addressing water quality and flood control problems; and,
  • Stormwater projects for individual efforts for their creativity in cooperating with other jurisdictions, developing innovative techniques and practices, in a stormwater project.
